The squadron supports and helps with the American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, and Legion Riders, at Post 202, and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

There are many projects, and programs that they do. Sons of The American Legion members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership. The SAL is a non-political and nonprofit organization. Squadron 202 meets at the Herbert Williams American Legion Post 202, 3669 Legion Lane, Columbia, Mo. 65201, the second Monday of every month at 7 PM.

Missouri American Legion Post 202 is in Columbia Missouri. Military Veterans pay dues to belong to this 501 C 3 organization which is the largest United States Congressionally supported Veteran Service Organization in history with nearly 3 million members. The Ladies Auxiliary is primarily made up of wives of those prior service members, but also comprise of their daughters. Their male children can volunteer through the Sons American Legion. A sub group called the 40 & 8 take on specific causes in the community and can be supported by their spouse in a group called the La Femme Voiture Cabane # (not yet formed). The Legion Post offers youth service campaigns providing scholarships and support programs, but also includes organization of advocates for many issues in society.
