In addtion to the American Legion, there are many services available to veterans from other organizations.  You can find a list of some of these organizations on the Links of Interest page.  For example, you may be eligible for health benefits from the Veterans Administration so check their web site for further guidance.  Have you lost your military records and now need a copy for some reason?  You can get a copy of these from the National Military Personnel Records Center, which is listed too.
